Please help.
I rewired my alarm antenna to the A pillar, it was fine for several days after I did this mod and I don't feel this has to do with my current problem..
Currently the light on the dash that blinks when the alarm is armed is now stuck on. Meaning it is a solid red light regardless if the door is opened or not running or off. My alarm does not work nor does it make the beep noise when I click the remote.
Any idea's? I did a search here and found no results. I did a search on VMAG and found one post with the exact problem I have but no one offered a resolution.
I suspect I'll be able to figure it out but wanted ideas of what to start looking at?
thanks for any assistance you folks can provide :)
Reset the alarm by pushing and holding the reset button on the brain (located under the dash to the far left of the brake pedal) and then hold down the button on the remote. More info on previous posts as to location.

If Tone's resolution doesn't work, disconnect your negative battery lead for a couple of minutes then re-attach.. It worked for mine... It just started flashing and honking then the light went solid all the while I was driving!

Thanks for the replies Tone and Scott,
I tried Tones option first , took me a minute to find that green button but I DID find it :)
I held in the green button for a minute or so ... let it go ... and then clicked the remote twice to no avail, so then, I held the green button in while I pressed the button on the remote for a mintute to no avail again.
I decided to go get a bite to eat and a few drinks for a few then came home and disconnected the negative battery terminal, not knowing how long to leave it disconnected I simply hooked it back up after less than a minute ....alarm kicked on and scared the ***** out of me! Made several more attempts to connect the battery terminal but the horn again, kept beeping and scaring the ***** out of me (not expecting this after a few drinks at 11 pm ;eekg; ) finally ... I got the terminal hooked up. Tried the remote several times and it works like a champ now ;Do;
I guess the question I have now is....WHY DID I HAVE TO DO THIS?
Was it ... the alarm / remote antenna re-location (that worked fine for the first 2-3 days after performing) and the alarm should have been reset after this procedure due to the signal difference?
[OR
was is something else, coincidentally, that had happened after the antenna re-location?
Any ideas? as this will be good info for others down the road.

Ooops! Forgot to mention that the alarm will go off as soon as you hook the neg back up... My bad, scared the doo doo out of me as well..
Mine only happened once so far.. I kinda figure it's like have a Windows computer OS.. Once in a while you get a hiccup.

May I ask why you re-wired the alarm antenna? I have always thought the alarm system could have been a bit more complete/better. Any alarm mods out there that are useful?

I have done this mod and it is an improvement, but I am still not impressed. Before the move I had to stand 10' or less before the alarm would arm or dearm. After the move, I can stand across the street and some times it will arm/de arm or not at all and I have to walk toward my V pushing the button untill it finally does work.

Factory alarms... and I don't care which manufacturer it is... are all junk.
I'm not going to go into details on why their junk. This is a public forum and everyone can get the info. Most of you know why already anyway.
Best thing to do is to install a DEI or Compustar system and not deal with the factory system at all.

Try this (http://www.vehicross.info/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=7)...from the "how to" section...:yesgray:
If that doesn't work, you'll need to get one like this...

@Ldub- thanks for the info, I bought the wrong remote. Looks like seller has the correct item and should be able to exchange.
