LED Lighted Side Mirrors

I found this while browsing a law enforcement magazine.

I emailed them to find out if they would be willing to do some for our VXs. Their reply was NO due to low volume. Our mirror heads are the same as the Trooper and some Amigos, right?

Maybe if we and some of the others (Troops and Amigos) would all email them and put some pressure......

if you could find some that have the led's on the front like mercedes do then i would be down...so it would be viewable from the front of the car

I'm good for some, but after looking I kinda like the wide angle press-ons also.

I've always thought the best modification in this department would be a strip of 3-4 side-emiting LEDS (luxeon makes side-emiters) with a diffuser across the outside bottom of our mirror assemblies. It wouldn't need to be very thick, probably half a centimeter and it would be visible from all directions, not just the rear. But it would be be practically invisible when not in use.

Our mirror glass is quite a bit different than the Trooper, and slightly different than the Rodeo/Amigo mirrors

i would love them if the leds were on the plastic facing the front rather then on the actual mirror. excellent mod!!!!! :)
