What's the largest BFG T/A KO (All Terrain) I can put on a stock '99 without trimming the cladding? I'm thinking 265/70 R16...I'm keepin the stock rims on there...any help would be appreciated. I'm not lookin to lift it, just want a more aggressive tire to fill in the wheel well and for the upcoming huntin season. Thanks a lot....you guys are awesome.

Oh, random side note regarding the inserts in the middle of our hoods. Mine has been showing a crack for a bit and I'm looking to repair/replace it. Any way to fix it at all? Or am I stuck buying one off of Merlin? Thanks.

I did 265/75/16.. I had already trimmed the cladding from running tire chains once.. so no trimming for me.. but seriously though.. the trimmming we are talking about here is so easy.. and no one could ever notice... I did it with a pocketknife I think.. I have those same tires now.. they are very nice...

Take a look at some of the flotation sizes, like 31X10.50 and 30X9.50.

I've rallied with 30X9.50 Yokohama Geolandar MT+ tires and had no clearance issues, so 31X10.50 shouldn't give you any issues under normal driving and wheeling.

As for your insert, normal body repair techniques (bondo or body filler and paint) are an easy fix for cracks. Alternatively you could get it covered with carbon fiber by a local fabricator which would look pretty trick. Just be certain they use a UV stable resin designed for outdoor or marine purposes.
