Sorry everyone, I tried the search but could not get what I need. I want to see who has this size tire and what size rim they are on, and what modifications you had to do as far as trimming fenders or lifting. I want to put 31x10.5x15 on a 15x8 rim with just having to trim the front cladding. I wanted to do this before Moab.

Just gonna say that I have 31 x 11.5 Mickey Thompson's on 16 x 10.5 Eaglew Alloy rims. It required very minimum trimming just the plastic that wraps into the wheel well toward the front
Those wider wheels must really have the correct offset to suck them in (could you measure and post the offset from back of the wheel rim to the mounting surface?) - that is great! The 15x8 wheels I test fit today had an offset of 3.75” which pushed them out too far and caused the tire to hit the back of the wheel well when turning.

As I told VXCRAZY in a recent e-mail, I have installed a set of 15 x 8 wheels with 31" x 10.5 x 15 BFG AT's. I have negative 3.75 offset. The negative offset as you described required the removal of about 2-3 inches of metal posterior to the front tires as well as the removal of about 3 inches from the front cladding. I heated and remolded the plastic tire well lining with a flame/torch behind the tire so that it fit snuggly to the metal at the rear of the tire. I am very happy with my results, but I have never taken my suspension to its limits. I suspect that I would have considerable rubbing of the tire with the upper plastic cladding on extremely rocky or uneven terrain. A 3" lift would be in order for me to feel safe out in Moab. Most of the off road experience I have in Oklahoma was handled without difficulty.
If you do not want to cut and lift you are going to have to stick with the original geometry. Quite frankly, I am so happy with the esthetics of my tires and wheels that I would recommend going with the lift and cutting required. Just my two cents!
I saw a lurker viewing this thread & thought I'd bump it up to give everyone a view of what it was like in the "olden days"...:smilewink
31x10.50 ?...yeah, I think they'll fit...
And NO, I'm not rippin' on you Lisa, it's just a look at how far things have come in the span of a few (or more) short years...:smilewink
It's like a trip in the "wayback machine"...

VX Crazy--- Your tires are extremely unique, as the specific size of 31x12.5R15 is "only" manufactured by PRO-COMP.:freek:

Ldub--- :noo:You silly boy. Did you actually check the factory website that manufactures that tire to confirm the size??? I guess not, because you would have discovered that's a "typo" with the OnLineTires discounter website. The only true "valid" source is the actual tire manufacturer itself. You silly boy.:noo:

Your most excellent redundancy is underwhelming...
I stand corrected.

Lisa,
Are these the same wheels you had on your last VX? If they are different, what is your offset?
Peace.

Tom, SAME wheels I have had for many years.......back in 2003 I had 3 sets of wheels, the stock 18", some other ones I bought from Jay that matched Tones and these black ones.......in 2005ish I just switched to the wider tire on the same wheel.
