My VX has been giving me 'hints' for a little while now...

Surging...
Stumbling...
Stalling...
And most recently, it has developed a loud and quite distinct whistle.


To confirm my suspicions, I just did a search on the word 'whistle', which lead me to the following threads:

It appears that I'm on the right track in thinking that it's probably the Intake Gasket.

I ordered a pair of replacement (genuine Isuzu OEM, updated version) intake gaskets from Jerry Lemond, for $38.00 + shipping - and Joe (Bigpoppax2) and I installed them earlier today, via the cheater's 'lift everything up just high enough to slip the old ones out & the new ones in' method... and then cleaned the EGR while we were at it...

Good as new! :thumbup:
