Ok, so you all know I'm a wheel nut. I recently came upon these wheels:
Rota Journeys (http://www.rotawheels.com/)

Specs:
SIZE.......... 18 x 9"
BOLT PATTERN.. 6 x 5.5"
OFFSET........ +15mm (other offsets avail.)
CONSTRUCTION.. Cast aluminum
FINISH........ Clearcoat??
CENTER BORE... ?? (looks big enough for a VX)
WEIGHT........ +/- 23 lbs each??
COST.......... +/- $150 each??
The width / offset should give you a nice bulldog stance (the offset is 1" further out than stock). Not sure if stock centercaps will work with them. Also not sure of finish options.
You could throw on some 285/55/18 tires and you shouldn't have to trim your fenders much if at all. 285/60's would probably require some trimming though.
You could also stagger your offsets and go like +5mm in the back to have a more aggressive stance. You won't be able to rotate yoru tires if you do that though.
Go with a lightweight tire and with the wider stance and bigger contact patch, you could significantly improve your VX's stock handling characteristics.
I think these are the perfect wheels for a black VX - the 7 spoke mesh would look hot and the deep dish should complement the VX's design really well!
SOMEONE BUY SOME AND TAKE PICS! :D
