Ok, can anybody help me understand what I am doing wrong? I bought a Gatorback belt and am trying to install it, but I can't get the tension pulley to budge? Is there some screw or bolt that has to be loosened first, or is that pulley supposed to be free moving? Tried pushing it down with my hand, no go. Tried using a 14mm ratchet and extension, no go. Maybe I just a girly-man?
It's free moving as far as a spring loaded device can be.
See if this is of any use.:

I did mine with the help of a tool specifically designed to do this. Its like a large breaker bar with a bit on it for serpentine belt pulleys. I am not sure how much they run, but I had this done in about 5 minutes...you might consider buying one or borrowing one if you can...
