Yeah, it is more fun, I always use it on the highway in traffic. Better response from the VX when I need to manuever around slow ppl.

But, I don't like putting around town with it on, cause it seems like shifting gets real hard between 2nd and 3rd when Power Drive is enabled. Like, when I am slowing down for a stop light or something, and then it turns green and hit the gas again around 20 mph, I get a nice jerky, slammy shift back up. I don't like it....

I used to have it on all the time, but i notice i get this aful clunk-jerk from the rear when i brake but then have to get on the gas suddenly. Sometimes i sware i think i got a love tap in the rear by the car behind me.

so now i just use it on the freeway, but normal city driving, i'll leave it off. buuuut, my right hand just loves hovering over the button almost at all times.

Yeah, I don't know exactly what it does to the tranny with it on, but someone here can probably explain? Is it just shifting tighter?

I think the simple explanation for the power mode is that it raises the rpm shift points keeping you in the torque band for "more power".
