SWEET! Rocky Road has started their webpage for the VX. And what a nice VX they have there...

awesome, prices are lower than i thought they would be too... how does this stuff mount up? im guessing the rails need to be welded, but does the diff. guard just bolt in?

That looks to be welded also...I'd sure like to see a bolt on one for the front of the rear diff.

    FROM R/Roads web page...

""Installation is made easier on many of our kits by marking strips which we include with every set. Instead of trying to juggle a 35lb rocker bar in place while you mark your holes, you simply clamp our thin steel marker strip onto the body seam and mark your mounting holes.

We use existing mounting holes whenever possible to minimize drilling on the vehicle. However, we don't sacrifice mounting strength so save a couple holes though. ""

I have a digi camera on it's way in the mail. When it comes in I will post pics of how the sliders mount. They are solid and they are not welded onto the VX, they just have several bolts on the frame rails and on the lower body seam.

    Question

    Zeus,

Please satisfy my curiosity, does the rock guard on the rear pumpkin bolt or weld on ?

    Thanks, Ldub

Ok, I'm in. It was the picture of Ldub's that did it.... I'm lifting it. I'd prefer to do the entire package at one time. Then, I guess I gotta find some rocks

Chopper, you've gotta big shop, I am sure... and tools, a welder... all the good stuff. And you talked about swapping out suspensions the other day... I nominate you to be the guy to swap a solid axle into the VX!

Why not? It's pretty much a hanger queen now. Plus it makes more sense to build in this direction... more in the nature of the vehicle, and probably alot easier than making a sports car. My only hesitation is the fact that I am a long, long way from any thing that looks like a rock. What do I do with this contraption after I build it?? Here they do "swamp buggies" and sandrails for offroading. Not least, I grew up in a family of English sports cars(with an occasional Citroen or Opel around) My entire backround is, sporting cars, road racing, and some rally... I'm entirely ignorant in this area. This is also alot of the appeal. Wayne

Rocky Roads prices look really good. Looks like they plan on adding a bit more in the future. I know after looking all over the net for the OME springs RR had the best price and got my business.
Thats is one sweet looking ebony flexing on the V notch!!! Of course I am a bit biased!
