Calmini Hi-Flow filter = Extra noise?

Ok... I added a Calmini filter... and now I can hear a loud hiss, which I assume is coming from the intake manifold... is this normal?

Seems that it should be, I suppose... but boy, it's a lot louder than the stock airbox.

Just want to make sure I didn't install something wrong... not that it was all that complicated to begin with.

    Hiss?

I installed mine like two years ago and didn't hear a hiss at all and still don't. Something must not be on all the way. I hear a slight wine, but it is not loud at all or definately not a hiss.

I've had a K&N cone filter on just about every auto I've owned, and usually get the hiss. I think it is just the air flowing through the cone shape, creating a hissing sound... I wouldn't think there is a problem. Just make sure the rubber gromet on the filter is tight and sealed against the intake tube.
