    Exclamation Reverse Signal Wire : ???

    Fam,

    I'm installing my new Eclipse AVN7000 this weekend - and have come to a small 'hitch' in the process...

    Install instructions call for attaching a wire from the harness to the "Reverse Signal Wire" - presumably for the reverse camera activation.

    Please - anybody know where to find this 'reverse signal wire'?

    Thanks for your help...

    Check page 142 in the electrical troubleshooting manual that Scott just uploaded, see if that helps. Or splice into one of the backup lights or back track that wire to something closer to where your working if you don't want to run a wire.

    Aw, just cut it off....you don't need all those wires!
    When in dought break out the wire cutters!
    Just watch out for those fingers!

    Following in the "natural progression of things", Beej will most likely be sportin' a hook where his hand used to be come Moab time in May.
    J-K Beej, can't wait to see (hear) the monster in action.

    ...blargh!

    haha... so, if I don't show up with a hook for a hand - will I disappoint? If so, I'll get right on that!

    <hijack>

    i was telling pbkid in a PM that I'm not sure if I'll get the system done before moab... I'm working 13 hour days 7 days a week lately with no relief in sight. So if I pull it off it will be a small miracle. When I do find time I'll have to crank out as much as possible. In the rush, well, you might just get to see some gory pix if all doesn't go well...!

    On the reverse signal wire front... I'll post a pic of that in this thread when I get home. I'll also eventually put a pic of it in my install thread. Rowhard - seriously if you're at Zu this year I'll have to buy you a beer. Your quick reply helped me troubleshoot the issue in less than 15 minutes. (Only after I spent 2 hours testing misc. wires, etc., by myself... hahaha...)

    biju, glad to be of assistants. MOAB is very doubtful, but do raise a jar for me. Hopefully Eric (PHO2GR4) will be there with all of his camera's to document this years ZuZoo.

    That bracket under the shifter looks a little rusty...should probably be powder coated. -
