Didn't I read somewhere that the VX is governed to 105mph max?

I have never max'ed her out but touched 102 mph on a cruise control malfunction (it just kept accelerating).
My brother got cited in her by CHP at 98 mph... the officer actually admitted to loosing him a couple of times (it was foggy).
And as long as we are mentioning personal bests; 172 mph on a GSXR 600, Highway 25 south of Hollister.

I made sure the AC was off, had a stiff tail wind, heading downhill.... about 112 for about a minute.
Dang. Y'all make me feel like a whimp. I've never had the VX over 80.

I have hit the governer with 33" tires.... not sure how fast that is? 125mph?
It definately doesn't feel safe at that speed especially on our wonderful Alaskan highways.... but I made it from Anchorage to Kenai (155 miles) in under an hour and a half.... 2-3AM and another random speeder truck with me the entire way, was one of the funnest/fastest drives I have ever had.
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.
2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......
Definitely not as fast as it could go with an LS1 Engine in it......., all jabs aside, any updates or progress with that project?I have hit the governer with 33" tires.... not sure how fast that is
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on me.
I remember doing atleast 105MPH on the 101/1SB after an Audi Q7 raced passed me, slowed down and started taunting me... as I was with a female companion I wasn't about to turn down the competition... eventually (after we both had the lead once or twice) I slowed down and he took off. good thing too because I saw him on the side of the freeway about 3 miles later with a highway patrol car behind him.
personal best... 160ish in my moms BMW 740IL on the 101NB... everyone was asleep after a fun filled day at Universal Studios and i was cruising home and I noticed I was passing cars left and right so I peek at the speedo and it's buried at 160! damn autobahn design... I didn't even feel the speed.. SOO glad I didn't get caught by any cops...
and while we're at it... funny story. I used to cruise highway 119/corridore G at 120 in my 93 4runner and one of those days a buddy of mine pulled up beside me in his fox body mustang and asked me how fast he was going cuz his speedo only hits 85 haha... then he took off
