any1 else coming?
My girlfriend's birthday is that weekend, and she wants to go to cape cod.. then we're going camping with her fam the weekend after here in FL..
Do not fear, I'm currently working on a scheme to sabotage her plans.. this way I can go camping two weekends in a row.. I'll keep you guys updated.
I'd normally come down, but after seeing the pics from the last Ocala meet, think I'd rather not have to deal with all the mud - also I may be in New Mexico that weekend.

Wuss! Hey, you can ride with me in the M1028 and Kathy will drive the IronMan! Besides, we've been having a drought so the mud will be rare and optional.Originally Posted by johnnyapollo

I live in the Tampa Bay area of Floirda and have only seen 2 VX. Black and Yellow. I have tried to contact them through this site but no luck.
Orlando is only 90 minutes from here. Would be interested in a meet.
then come on over b!tch, i'm just messing, lol, come over.
The meet is actually in Ocala, so would be a straight shot up I-75 for you!Originally Posted by Mark B

Well I'll try...but just to see you Joe, you cutie-pie. 20th is our wedding anniversary, but Mrs.Wayne is pretty easy going, and we can swing past the farm and check on the Lemurs and my Kookaburra in the process. Wayne

That's it! I'm bringing a damn Jeep! I can scuff it up, and no one will care.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to bow out, and I'm not happy as I missed the last Isuzu get-together at ONF as well.
Basically, I got into my "big brake job" a weekend late and forgot to order new front wheel bearings and seals in time. So the IronMan is sitting at my shop with bare front spindles right now, and lots of shiny new brake parts looking forlorn for lack of bearings.
Also, my CUCV purchase went a bit awry recently and I have to go pick it up from Atlanta and the sooner the better. So Friday I'll be schlepping a trailer up there and back down again with 5K pounds of military diesel fury in tow. At least that's what it sounds like inside at 70MPH! LOL!
So I see Costie removed himself from the meet attendance, which leads me to believe it may be a dead meet. If y'all do go here's the trail maps: http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/recr...OHV_maps.shtml
Several of the ONF campgrounds don't require reservations for tent campers (just ask any forest staff) and you can also camp just about anywhere in the forest. Do check in when you get there and be sure to ask current restrictions on camp fires. Hopefully they've eased with the little bit of rain we've had, but usually they keep a lid on it during drought like now.
