    My $0.02 too.
    In place of mechanical fastening, you might consider heavy duty velcro. It's a light piece of hardware, especially if your mount box is also plastic.

    Putting it in a DIN would be ideal, but both of mine are already full. I am thinking about fixing the scan guage onto some ABS and putting that over the bottom DIN slot where I have my power inverter via some sort of little door. So all I have to do is lift up the door to get to the invertor.

    But either way, I have to wait until I get it to start planning...

    another thought. Do you have and use the ash tray? It might fit there too. that might be a cool place for it,.... maybe

    Yeah, my ash tray has the cig lighter cable for my power inverter coiled up in it, but maybe I could mount it on top...

    We shall see. Nothing like a good mod challenge!
