    speaker question

    Question about rear speakers.
My rear speakers sound like I have a blown speaker when I have the radio on playing music. However, when I play a CD they sound good, no problems.
I want to replace the rear speakers with 6 1/2.
Anyone have the same problem with the speakers when using the radio and CD player?

Yeah, I thought my speakers were gone when I first got my VX. Then the first time I played a CD - WOW! It sounds great. Now I just listen to CD's about 95% of the time. I've just figured that I'd have to buy a new stereo if I wanted really good radio reception.... Maybe it's an antenna issue... Anybody else know?

Yea, I was getting ready to do the rear speaker replacement with the help of the great thread on how to replace the rear speakers posted by etlsport and found that the speakers work great with a CD. Radio is horrible.

mark, does the thread still work okay? last time i looked at it, i couldnt get the pics to show up for some reason, the pics can be located in my gallery under the album rear speaker installation, i talked to moncha awhile ago about re-writing the how-to so the pictures show up... i just havent had time to sit down and write it up again, if you run into any trouble feel free to shoot me a pm or email though and ill help as much as i can.. i still have a rear panel off at the moment so i can snap other pics you may need as well (i broke the tab off of my panel under the window.. still trying to figure out how to fix it.. be careful about forcing it!) one more thing i would add.. there are two types of fasteners holding the rear panels on, ones that just have one piece on each side that are yellowish and ones that have lots of little rings that are clearish white.. definately keep track of which of those goes where to ensure your panels go back on right (and if you can make a note of what goes where cause i have no idea!)

The pictures do not show up.
I made a copy of your thread a few months ago with the pictures.
