I lost a bulb this winter and before I buy an identical replacement, I was wondering what the current wisdom is on the brightest amber replacements for the horn lights?

8W Malibu bulbs will give you twice the wattage of the stock without risk of damage to the housing. Standard LED's don't work very well because the light is offset from the lens, and the cavity where the light mounts only has a reflective material on one side to redirect the light. If you used some bulbs that fired towards the outside of the car on either side, you may get decent light out of them.

i have the 5 LED Matrix bulb from www.autolumination.com (look in the section for 168/194 bulbs) they work great, ive them in blue and they fill up the horn very nicely, they have a new bulb that ty (forget his online name at the moment) was telling me about and they looked like they would fit.. but i dont think anyones tried them in the VX yet, they just came out a few days ago
I just finished throwing a strip of 5 LEDs in there with a custom 194 attachment I made myself and it is the brightest thing I have put in there yet. http://superlumination.com/images/au...ed_strobew.jpg I have tried just about everything but a single one of these in there with the wires adapted to fit a 194 works great.
