Thumbs up well results are in for TOD vs NO TOD mileage.

so i did 2 test and after 1 week and 1/2, and about $100 in gas cuz of dumb prices, i finished the test.

With Tod OFF for 3 months I wanted to see if it saved gas, so i did 340 miles per tank.

    AND

With Tod ON i ran 325 miles per Tank.

So the results are Tod off saves a little buy 15 miles and i'm doing about 15 mpg so i saved 1 gallon with TOD OFF, hey thats $2.89 i waisted, but i dont care, Tod is so worth the $2.89-3.00.

Hope this answers all you guys ?'s about the TOD and No TOD with Gas test.

Oh and by the way, it drives perfect with rear wheel drive, just unplug the gray connecter that has like 3 wires, the only down fall is no TOD of course and the Check Tod light with turn on and blink, but thats all.

    Exclamation

Be careful when operating this way as the backend is VERY easy to swap with the front in any kind of wet conditions. If you add manual hubs, you could increase MPG - otherwise the transfer case is still being turned by the front axles, diff and axle. Dropping the front drive shaft would also accomplish this. If you'd searched you'd have found that this "test" has been done several times, many years ago....

    Hey Coastie,
How much was the rear diff. sensor? I am told my upper rear sensor is bad. It is part number 357B.
    Thanks,

When i went to look at mine when buying i was under the impression that it was 4 wheel drive not awd and i was bummed when i learned it was awd cause at that time i was not fond of the all wheel drive thing but i bought it anyway cause the truck was just too bad a33 and now im cool with the awd think.

its really 4wd only, not awd, just the diffrence is u are driving with the TOD, it was never a awd, always have been and will be 4wd, thats why it says it on the back, dont worry bro, it's not a subaru.
