    Moab's pretty fun.

    Hey Kids!

The dogs and I made it safely to Moab today. I've already run into a few other VXers, but the real fun won't begin until tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are a few shots taken at Arches National Monument today:

The dogs are really getting used to the ride...

I thought if I tilted the camera, the Balancing Rock might fall over. Nope.

And here's how I've been finding my way around:

And here's what a typical sunset looks like:

    I could move here...
OEM roof rack, Thule Xpedition 696 rack, Rancho RS9000 shocks, OME 913 coil springs, 3" lift, American Racing Teflon Chambers wheels, Yokohama Geolandar HT/S G051 tires (275/70/16), Energy Suspension greaseable bushings, steel-braided Kevlar-reinforced brake lines, WeatherTech wind deflectors, Malibu 18w driving lights, Plasma SuperWhite 100w headlights, NGK Iridium plugs, K&N drop-in air filter, Optima Red Top, Psychos2 rear-door subwoofer enclosure w/CDT Audio 10" sub, Blaupunkt subwoofer amp, iPod Video 80GB, Kenwood KVT-617 DVD head unit w/7" motorized touch-screen, Kenwood GPS HD navigation module, Kenwood iPod adapter, Kenwood back-up camera, Sirius radio, Flowmaster Extreme Off-Road muffler (black diamond-plate steel) w/ carbon fiber tip, Ford Taurus OEM cup-holder/coin tray (single-DIN/lower bay), personalized license plate "ORBITAL", 3M window tint, debadged, removed rear seat, custom 'radiation symbol' side magnetic signs, VX Concepts front skid plate

Apparently, this is one reason the park is called "Arches":

Yeah. Nice. And while you guys were at your desk jobs today, me and the dogs were here!

All those crazy camera angles makes me think you are dizzy with excitement! The CO convoy should be here in Glenwood in 2 hours...

Hey Eric, it's 68 and sunny here in Olympia, just beautiful
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.

68 degrees? I LAUGH at your puny 68 degrees!

    Look at these shots:

That's Scott and Bart scaling some EXTREME hills in their EXTREME 4x4's. You can't see my EXTREME 4x4 because, um, I'm sitting in it taking the photos.

However, you can see the Three Amigos...I mean, Vehicrosses...right here:

I'm out of gallery space. Damn.

I'm definitely keeping all of the high-resolution files! I'm still amazed at how pretty everything is around here.

You know what nobody tells you about the desert, though?

It's HOT out here! REALLY hot. My Ebony VX really sizzles in this sun. I can't touch the exterior after it's been in the sun for a few minutes.

It's also dry. My eyes are always bloodshot, and my skin is flaking off.

Why doesn't anyone mention that deserts are hot and dry?!?
