    HORN advice

This has been bothering me for a long time... but today I had to audibly B-slap 4 knuckleheads, and finally realize the need to install a WAY more aggressive horn in my VX.
I've been a considerably more mature driver since changing from my Subaru RS to the VX, but there are days when people really need 'help' out there!
I'm reading over this thread right now/
    http://vehicross.info/forums/showthr...highlight=horn
/which has good stuff in it. I'm just looking for more/more recent opinions.
I don't need anything rediculous or uncomfortable (inside the VX anyway),
but something that definitely gets the point across.

And by the way... is the pathetic, dinky, clownish "horn" that I have stock or what?? My motorcycle had a better horn on it...

    Thanks all

i replaced my stock horn with a wolo 2 tone air horn from pep boys.. its not much deeper than the stock one.. but its much louder.. definately scares the crap out of people and gets attention... id prefer a deeper one though, installation was easy, just need to find somethin with larger trumpets

    new horn!

    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUMPPPPPPPPPPPPP

put in a much bigger larger trumpet... its LOUD and DEEP sounds like a big rig! i love it got it on e-bay for $40 +$10 shipping installation took about 1.5 hours including removing the front bumper

you can see the air horn starting near the right headlight and running behind the middle support for the bumper and ending just past it.. the compressor is up at the top of the pic near the right headlight (its hidden by a that metal piece in the picture)

edit... heres a pic where u can see the compressor near the closer headlight

I've been looking around the last few days.

Did you rip out both VX horns?
    (there's 2, right?)

    Did you stick with Wolo?

here is the new horn that i like a lot

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...153055918&rd=1

i am still using the wolo compressor from my previous horn but they look identical so im guessing theres no difference

i had the horn below the passenger side headlight still in because i couldnt find it but it annoyed me to no end cause it made my horn sound strange like a dubbed over song or something... so i disconnected that one too, didnt bother taking it off though.. the compressor is mounted through the hole left from the other horn (right under the bottom of the hood prop)
