Well I am finally going to put these brackets on but I think I lost the fittings that come with them. Anyone know where I can get them? Also any updates on a name brand glue and if it can be bought at an auto store?
CIRCMAND,
Let me know when are you planning to do the fix. I also bought the brackets and perhaps we could help each other during installation (let's start with your VX as guinea pig ). I also need the information on the glue matter.
Regards,
Daniel
a small tube of silicon adhesive would work!
im here in Mesa AZ where it was over 100 for 3 months and i used industrial grade hot glue and its still holding up just fine.............
You could visit your local auto paint supply store or maybe even Checker,Kragen,Pep Boys,Napa and pick up some window adhesive.
Thanks Tim any particular brand? Also VXD I will let you know when I am doing it I have a friend I am paying for the priveledge of teaching me. You can probably watch hime while he does it.
Circmand, you are a pervert!
"You can probably watch hime while he does it."
Jealous?
and your paying him...lol

no matter what anyone thinks nothing is free.
Are these tracks still available?
my windows are going to get the silcone spray this weekend. if that does not work then i am keen to try your ubber design
did these brackets actually workout?? did they end the power window headache??? if so... i want some!
Just wanted to thank you for making these brackets. Both windows on the VX I bought were broken and horrible (the passenger side actually fell into the door the first time I tried to roll it down.....in the rain...).
I bought the brackets before the VX even arrived and this weekend took the time to put them in. I used a cheap epoxy for glass/metal and it only took me about an hour and a half to compelte and that is only because I put on bracket on backwards and had to remove and re-attach it. It was very simple if you have any mechanical apptitude (and tools) at all.
The end result.... my windows go up and down flawlessly, no binding, no falling out of tracks, no issues at all!
I cannot speak to longevity but it sure seems to be fantastic so far.
Thanks again well worth the small price you are charging!
