    Arrow Tip on trans problem

Slight vibration at highway speed, vehicle won't coast. Strange coast behavior, but trans upshifts normaly. The vibration of a cracked flexplate will take out the front pump. Begins as a minor & intermitant leak between trans and block that will eventually fill the little dust shield pan and leak over the front edge. This is the pump seal being egged out by the wobbling convertor. Next is the pump bushing, now even more wobbling of the convertor hub, egging out the bushing. When the o-ring for the input shaft to case is breached, she will lose the ability to coast. This means a front pump rebuild and a new flexplate. Cheapest fix for this problem short of finding a good used transmission.
