    Site problem....

So, my problem isn’t with this website, it is with my own. I have had it for about a year and done really nothing with it. Mainly cause I don’t know how. I have a program called dreamweaver MX and the other macromedia stuff that came with it. Does anyone know how user friendly this is? I was given a hands on training book but I don’t want to go through the whole thing if its gonna be a pain in the end. Any thoughts?

Dude, anytime you want help with it, let me know. If you want to come by some night I can show you the ins and outs of Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash. Flash is definitely the most difficult, and I am no pro, but I know the basics. Dreamweaver is a brilliant GUI based HTML coder, and it is very easy to learn once I show you a few basics. I did all my sites with Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

Oh man Bart, I just checked out your VX site again and saw those spikes. What did you make them out of and are you keeping them on. They definitely go with the VX of the Armageddon look. I want to see these!!!

The spikes are made from steel. I had the idea in my head for a long time. I was originally going to do this with my Xterra (you know how they have that wind deflector on the roof rack), but obviously never got around to it. But when I got the roof basket for my VX, I took the measurements for the wind deflector and drew up the concept. Then I had my buddy back in Chicago weld it up for me (he has a full shop with a plasma cutter, bender, etc etc). Originally, I was going to have all the spikes the same length, but he came up with the idea that I should make two of them a little longer. So now there are three 4" spikes and two 5" spikes. Then I just sprayed it with some textures black paint.

He also made a light bar for my VX as well. I just have to buy the lights and I have been kinda broke lately. I'm going to mount 2 floods and 2 spotters up there eventually. So basically, my basket will either have the spikes or the lights, depending on what I am doing. Right now I have the basket off but it will be going back up top this weekend hopefully. The basket makes washing the VX difficult.

I might have to take my mother-in-law to the airport on Saturday, which may get in the way of our plans, but hopefully I will be free at least in the afternoon. The sun is out until 8:30 so if we have to go later I am down as long as you guys are. I just have to talk to my wife and find out what is going on with her mom. I will find out tonight for sure.

Clint: You work this Sunday right?

I will take you up on that sometime because the manual I have is almost 700 pages.
