Question Changing trany fluid every 6 month?

    Hi gang,
I`ve been having issues with my trany for awhile now. Last time i changed fluid it was i think 5-6 month ago and it worked fine but now it start kinda sliping again and it kicks my TOD sometimes cuz i see all 3 bars on. So my questions Is that okay to change tranny fluid every 6 month? Because my tranny fluid leacks i know that so it might be because there is noe enought fluid in tranny.

you shouldnt need to change it every 6 months.. maybe just keep an eye on it and keep refilling as necessary.. low fluid would cause the slipping/kicking.. also have you checked the tod fluid? maybe changing that out would be a better place to start, i remember you saying something about it was only at low speeds, i would start by draining and refilling the tod fluid

I'd better fix the leak and refill with synthetic fluid. Then safely run 30000 miles to next change.

for the front diff it should be about $24 (3 quarts at $8/quart) and the rear should be like 40-45 (3 quarts at $14 a quart) thats assuming you use mobil 1 75w-90 for the front and mobil 1 75w-140 in the rear
