Hi thanks for the link unfortunately when you get to the postcode bit it says invalid i am presuming that this is because they only operate in the states i will send them an email and see if this is the case.
Thanks anyway Glenn
Hey- if they are messing stuff up that bad working on your lorry, it seems to me that they need to be responsible for fixing it properly, or at least sending it somewhere to do it right. Now, you may have electrical problems, a bum starter, and other stuff you wont discover until later. How is that your responsibility?
Also, when you say intercooler on a non-turbo vehicle- I am assuming what you mean to us Americans is radiator. Or, that big grill thingy that transfers engine heat to the air, right? If a radiator is leaking it will NOT get engine oil in it. Or vice versa. That is a DEFINITE sign of a blown head gasket, a cracked engine block, or cracked head. Any good mechanic would know this. Beware!
Also, why did they do so much stuff to your radiator if it was your head gasket that was bad? A decent shop would have discovered this before fixing non-broken stuff.
Anyways, good luck- it sounds like you will be in for more headaches and a lighter wallet! Let us know your progress! Cheers!
Update to the saga is the vehicle has now been taken to a main isuzu dealer and awaits assessment the car has not run for four months plus now and the garages insurance is picking up the costs
Not sure if they will write it off or stand the cost of new engine etc
Hope to find out mid week at the latest
Well there is a happy ending to this one after all the hassle
Isuzu main dealers discovered a multitude of rebuild mistakes
Timing incorrect cams incorrectly installed kinks in the fuel line etc
After 1 full week and a huge bill later (payed by the garage who cocked it up) the car has been brought back to life would have had it this week if lambda sensor had not have caused a engine management light to appear on the dash due to a adjustable fuel regulator that they had fitted because they destroyed the original.
So hopefully now i can enjoy the car at long last.
I do love a happy ending. One more, alive and rolling
