    How High's the Water?

Yesterday I though the City and County were going to run out of "Road Closed" and "High Water" signs around here. Today they were all blown/washed away, so I bet they get some new ones.
Anyway, Lots O rain and wind and highways, biways, roads, and streets with water running over them and trees laying on them.
It's been a wild couple of days and I'm sure Glad to have the VX this year! It's the only way to fly!!!!

I'm sure we'll hear from some of our guys on the coast when their phonelines and power is restored, I know they have really taken a beating!
If you don't first THINK THINK, you could end up in deep DO DO!

We had a little bit of the liquid sunshine here last weekend. Mt Lemmon got over 7 inches and caused this water crossing on our wheeling trip which is usualy just a 2 foot wide stream to turn into...

The next crossing was impassable for us!

I have been watching the winds and floods on the news.
Reminds me of all the winds and floods we have here in Florida during Hurricane Season.

Hey Derek, hope you are feet dry. Here in Olympia, it's been another story, and speaking of the stories, here is some video footage from KIRO 7, one of our Seattle TV stations. http://www.kirotv.com/video/14773350/index.html

I have coffee with the maintenance manager at the LOTT plant mentioned in the video. He was hotter then you know what about that video about 'raw sewage' being dumped into the sound. He said it was stormwater runoff only and it did go thru the UV something or other process. Something like 53 million gallons went thru the plant in the first 12 hours or so of the storm.

Other then work shop flooded (again) we are okay.

Still a drop in the bucket compared to Katrina
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.

Doug, you would play hell getting to her, would have to go via tri-cities right now or maybe up the coast except 8 is closed and not sure about 101. do you have a helicopter?

She says, she can get around on "Old Military Road", Hill top roads just to the west that Truckers cannot take, and that I-5 is closed about 3mi to the north. Apparently, there is no traffic jam. (Bill)

    My Feet are still dry!

Yeah, the water is going down, but I still have a longer than normal drive around a bridge that is still out. Here's a couple pictures taken by some coworkers, for your viewing pleasure. Note: The river is normally about 1/4 mile away from the road!
