CD changer not working

is that pretty common for these ?
any suggestions to fixing it or should I just get
a newer more modern unit ?

just replace it with something better.. very few VXs have their orignal CD changer in working order from what ive seen. They are made by fujitsu-ten (also the maker of eclipse) I have heard that there is an eclipse 6cd changer that will plug right into the stock head unit, i saw one installed and it looked factory except that it said Eclipse instead of Isuzu, but it wasnt hooked up to the stock unit

I have about a 5 yr old Eclipse unit in my Lexus..
its been fine, but sort of waiting for it to take a poop.
