    Talking 0179 rides again!

    I got my engine from glenwood on Friday and spent the weekend prepping and installing it. I got everything hooked up today and it started on the first try. No coughs, no sputters, just vroooooooom! The engine was pristine inside from the top and the bottom. I didn't do any work on the long block; I just installed it as-is, though I pulled the lower oil pan to clean it out. There wasn't much to clean.

    The VX is actually not bad for an engine swap. I only had to reference the manual a couple times, mostly for torque specifications. The worst part was filling the stupid transmission. I sure wish I had added that dipstick tube.

    Thanks to glenwood for selling me the engine. It runs great so far. Now to was the grease off and prep the pictures and time-lapse video I took while I was working on it.

    YAY! :bwgr::bgwp:

    Excellent.....you've been down too long. You can still run the tube, it just won't be as easy.

    The sad thing is that I'll probably still end up selling it At least it's worth something running. It's actually in much better shape than ever now, since all the wiring harness and hoses are routed properly (they weren't when I got it, but I didn't know it at the time).
