    Production numbers again...

I did some researches today. I took some base VIN numbers for 99, 00 and 01 model years, generated the sequence number 0001 and increase it (correcting the check digit ) until it will be recognized by http://MyIsuzuParts.com (since it is official data base it is good source to trust) and then tried to find the last number that will be valid for the model year. So, what I found (based on the fact VIN JACCN57X017D01456 is not valid (surprise! ), though within the valid range, I put "about" on the numbers):

    99: - JACCN57X1X7990011 (01/22/1999) - JACCN57X7X7992037 (09/24/1999) - about 2027 cars
    00: - JACCN57X5Y7D00006 (03/01/2000) - JACCN57X7Y7D00797 (06/19/2000) - JACCN57X0Y7D00799 (06/13/2000) - about 794 cars
    01: - JACCN57X917D00001 (07/31/2000) - JACCN57X717D01454 (12/28/2000), JACCN57X917D01455 (01/10/2001) - JACCN57X517D01467 (01/9/2001) - about 1466 cars

So, based on this I can say that about 12 VXs was really manufactured in 2001 (too lazy to check all of them) and overall valid VIN codes are about 4287 (US spec).

Another source of VXs was Japaneese market. Here are some info based on recalls (http://dogandlemon.com/site/japanese...seno=RJ-0528-0) and info from 175 LTD owners. The numers are also estimated since Isuzu not always follows the sequence...
In production period 12/05/1995 - 28/01/1998 JDM cars was recalled to check nuts on propeller shafts, including VXs with frame numbers: UGS25DW-7100022 - UGS25DW-7101362. Based on the fact the VXs was started in 1997 we can assume that first valid frame number is UGS25DW-7100022. The #88/175 LTD have frame number UGS25DW-7101788, #111/175 - UGS25DW-7101811, but the #140/175 - UGS25DW-7101839. Also, there is info that 175LTD was numbered 0 to 174 rather than officially mentioned 1 to 175 (http://www.h6.dion.ne.jp/~v.175-59/1...itions0-20.htm, http://www.isuzu.co.jp/press/1999/175.html). And everyone clime that 175 LTD was the latest JDM VXs. So, estimated number of JDM VXs is 1853.

That give us the overall production 6140 worldwide. Huh :bgwg:

    VIN's

So, now take all of these VIN's, run them through CICS and find the locations and owners. Ones that are in the junk yard, let's go get some parts. Ones that people own, then lets write some letters and tell them about the site, and, make sure that we track them (the cars) so that we can tell when they are crashed and other parts become available. Of course, when I say "WE", I mean you. (Ha Ha)
