I just crawled under my VX and there definitely is a dust cover over that area. I tried to take a picture, but it was just too tight to see through the view finder. Got a nice picture of the cross member though.

I have attached a photo of the tip and where it attachs to something, any ideas? Did the Aamco guys just forget to attach this? Would this be a reason my cruise control is now not responding at all?
There is only one rubber line in that area on mine, and it is connected to the tranny, as pictures in the second shot. Not sure what the other one is.

Ah and here once again is the little trans fluid cooling line that has sprung a leak for the 3rd time, how awesome. Could this be because Amaco is not flushing the lines after working on the trans and it is clogging up causing pressure to break this part time and time again?
Maybe they need to replace that rubber line. If it's split or cracked the hose clamp won't contain the pressure.
