Just wondering if anyone out there has tried any of the pre-made LCD headrests in the VX, and if so, how did they turn out, i.e. fit, quality, etc?

Pretty cool, but I just can't manage to care enough about those in the back seat to want to entertain them while I drive.....just kidding, I guess they'd be great for those with kids or friends with short attention spans.

I think someone should do Pimp my ride style and have an LCD drop down when you open the back door so you could play Video games and watch movies anywhere you want.

Don't forget that the VX headrest can't be removed easily. The manual says it's a 'dealer' function. I haven't tried but I know you can't just pull up on 'em to remove.

I'm with you Ascinder! It's only about 2-3 drives a year for which someone has decided to scramble their way into my backseat... it's just not worth spending a dime on that situation, which is also why I like to drive 2-door vehicles with something in it you can point to and call a "back seat." Like a donut spare, it's there if you really need it, but that comes up so seldom that it's just not an important concern to me.

In any event, most people who know me consider my driving to be more than enough to engage their attention! :bwgr:

I tried that route a few years ago. Worked out ok for camping trips. We set up some lawn chairs outside the back of my VX and were able to view movies and play XBox. But, without proper/improved power management, my power inverter was hell on my battery, heh. I have since removed all that equipment.

I was never into the LCD headrest screens. I always saw them as a "aw hell 'naw dawg.... my whip gots class 'an I am a baw'la". FAR from who I am, heh.

i was driving home around 1-2 am a few months ago and was behind this suburban with headrest monitors on the 3rd row, so the only people who could see it was people driving behind.. this very upstanding gentleman who was driving was playing a movie that could have easily been starring jenna jameson.. im sure its only a matter of time before he gets rear-ended haha

Yeah, I'm still around for the time being. The Thailand move is pretty much on the back burner right now, and we still need a second vehicle so I'm not in much of a rush to sell. I really do need a new hobby tho!

For all the LCD headrest haters, I agree that in a lot of vehicles it's more bling than functionality, but when you've got two little ones in car seats strapped back there, it's all about keeping them occupied.

I was it Thailand about 5 months ago I had a blast. If you can afford the ticket to Saigon $1200 you can by a 5 day tour package for $450 that includes airfare 4 star hotels meals and entertainment. Except for the night entertainment but they take you to places that wont get you in trouble. . I was spending that per day in Hawaii.

Lady Boy shows are a big thing over there, It’s like a Broadway production. Me and some friends went to a show in Pattaya. It’s a hug tourist attraction. That was about the only clean show I went to. I can’t talk about the other ones ether and they didn’t have lady boys.

    Ha... !

My only regret is not going to a Muay Thai match... we were going to go three separate occasions but weren't in the correct.. um state of mind to actually find our way there.

    Good times anyway.

So did you try the LCD headrests Kpaske?
