The company was revived in 1995. From what I have read they were a profitable company but did not produce many cars. Since then the owner was arrested on fraud charges and now Cooper owns the rights to the company.

Avanti Motor Corp is named as a relief defendant, alleging that auto maker illegally received more than $7.3 million from Resort Holdings International. Kelly has been in custody since Dec 22, 2006 and all Avanti facilities are closed.

Like going to see a thirty year old band....There's a good chance, that all the original elements have been replaced. Studebaker, that started building carriages (we had a Studebaker Rockaway) and switched to automobiles a hundred years ago....is long, long gone. If you could aquire the name, you could build a 2009 Hupmobile...or a Brockway. I've known Studebakers....and THAT, sir, is no Studebaker!
