    How To Test Faulty EBCU?

I had Isuzu diagnose why ABS light was on. They came back with a code 43 a faulty Electronic Brake Control Unit (EBCU). They want over $2800 for the part! I purchased a used one for $100 with 30 day warranty. My mechanic installed and still have the brake light on? Any assistance with how to test the EBCU would be appreciated.

Have you tried to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes so that the computer will reset?

Welcome. Ya didn't need to have a dealer read the ABS code. Use the search here or ask before ya do such things. It only takes a few seconds to erase the code yourself.

Thanks for the instructions. I will ask my mechanic to perform the steps that you have outlined. I guess it is safe to say that just disconnecting the battery for 30 min won't reset the ABS light?

Well, I had my mechanic follow the light reset prochedures and the ABS light is still on? There is a possibility that I got a bad EBCU from the junk yard??? Anyone have any ideas how to test it?
