VX Family Needed (Moab) for Scott

I've had this idea in my head, and I bet you probably had a similar idea. Thanks to Don Moore for giving me the confidence to share this.

I think we should do something special for Scott aka Bossman aka Moncha while we are in Moab.

I was thinking of asking everyone who has signed up to be in charge of one letter. I was thinking if everyone bought a poster board and cut it into fouths. They would write one letter on a fourth of a poster board. They would be in charge of how simple or complex the lettering is.

I was thinking SCOTT * YOU'RE * THE * BEST! The askerick would be a picture of a flower. That would would take the place of a blank space. That is 22 letters (spaces). That's the amount of VXers going to Moab.

We could take a picture of our group with Scott's sign in front of some wonderful place in Moab. This way we have Scott with us in Moab, and it would make a great picture for Scott aka Bossman aka Moncha.


Letters would be asigned in alphabetical order. If you are the first person on the list you get the letter (S). If you are the 8th person in alphabetical order you draw a picture of (A FLOWER). If you are the last person, you draw (! ).

I love the idea! One thing... why cut the poster board into fourths? I say make it BIG! Use a full one for each letter. Either way... I am in.

While I think it would be nice to go BIG...the practicality of packing a quarter sheet of poster board, rather than a full sheet, appeals to me even more...

I had a very similar thought before being sidelined...I thought a group pic of everyone holding up a bottle, glass, can of the drink of their choice in a cheers fashion in front of all the VX's (at the pot luck) would have been a cool pic for him. But your Idea is great also Tom.

I know some of the letters are already done but as i was doing ours i thought instead of the * as a flower maybe a paw like Moncha's avatar would be sweet! I know its last minute but just a thought! I will have extra supplies in Moab if anyone needs any!!

THAT IS AWESOME!!! The VX family is the BEST!! Scott and I are already talking and planning for next year. It will be hard to beat the turnout that was there for 2008. But let's make that the goal for 2009. A year from now, I know that Scott will be salivating to get behind the wheel again. For now, poor Moncha is sitting in the garage. I had to put the battery charger on him because he is not getting driven now with Scott being home bound. Just looking at the pics posted so far, it looks like it was a fun time had by all. How can you have a bad time in Moab??? We will be there in 2009.
