Thanks guys, Off set is a little bit more than my "ideal" but these wheels aren't made in a +15 +20... I didn't realize 5mm more was going to be as dramatic as it is...
But I guess that's just extra body protection while off road
Very nice!
Now go get that thing dirty on the trails and let us know how much fun it was!!
You might also wanna take the tire stickers off and increase your traction
Best,

I have a Sith sense....I see Darth people...
Very kweel! Are you sure that's the same VX I saw you with in Moab? Keep up the good work.
Peace.

Incase you didn't know stickers actually add horsepower
Trails hopefully next sunday...
I know seriously... Wonder what the people at work are going to say... I've already been Harassed by several people and it's been about 36 hours. First a guy chased me down in a Full Size Dodge Ram Diesel. He wanted to know what the hell I was driving and where it came from. (about a 10 minute conversation)Originally Posted by Tom
Then Chased down by some Mormon missionaries, saying they've never seen one like that, and didn't they only make those for one year? (I let them know they were here for 3 years).
A dude ran over to me when I was at Britt's Parent's house, and He wanted to know what it was. He said he'd never seen or heard of them, and he's a mechanic at a tire shop, so he deals with all makes and models. He just sat and stared for a while shaking his head.
Went to Checker to pick up some paint... Ran in really quick, then went straight to the register with my paint. Waited... Waited... Looked outside, all of the employees were looking at the VX wondering who made it. They said it looks like a "Jurassic Park" vehicle. Then they kept asking question after question about wheels and tires, etc. etc.
Then my Brother's Sister-In-Law said "I don't think I've ever seen these... Now these are Brand new right?"
I let her know it was 8 years old And a 15 year old design
Then there are the people rubbernecking and the little kids Pointing.
Thanks for the kind words!! I've installed the LED tailights and the HID headlights. (one bum ballast... hopefully get here Wednesday )
Too Fun... I need to chill out for a bit...
Wait I can't... My tie rods will be here tomorrow. Then install, and off to the alignment shop...
Stickers are gone now Must have only been a temporary gain... not sure why the didn't last.
I've had my VX for 2 months (as of this last weekend) If it weren't for me going to Moab I'd have been a bit more conservative. But I had to go... and had to look at everyone else's ride... And get bit by the Moab bug... and now I need to go back...
I need to run out of things to do soon... but I keep finding so much
Nice dude, it's so much fun, isn't it? Where did you get the heavy duty tie-rods. After Hell's Revenge I am thinking this wouldn't be a bad idea for me too...
Bart
Acender, didn't you make your tie-rods? Are you interested in a little side business?
Peace.

They showed up today... I got them from Independent4X $200, and they're mean... Mine aren't Red like Ldubs, they came zinc/copper/brass lookin' (think it's zinc plating, like a grade 8 bolt)
They look EXTREMELY TOUGH... simple enough install too... Hopefully I'll get to them in the next few days.
Yes Bart... Extremely Fun... My pictures really don't do it justice... I need to go out in the "field" and take some shots..
My images make my wheels and tires look small
Pay attention to the orientation of the grease zerks when you install them.
Make sure they are pointing in a direction that's easily accessable for greasing.
Mine weren't red when I got them, just raw steel, (no shiny stuff) I painted them to resist corrosion...& the fact that I like a little red paint here & there.
You might want to try Bulldog adhesion promoter (wal-mart) on the shiny bits.
Whatever you use, be prepared to hit it with touch up paint after the alignment guy gets done chowdering up your fresh paint job...
can't say it any better then this

Ha... That's a great commercial...
Thanks for the tips Larry.
Painted the Thule... It's a bit darker than Kaiser, silly duplicolor the color of the lid isn't 100% accurate You actually have to find your paint code... oh well... I'm happy either way... It stood out too much since my wheels are black having the lightest color on top looked odd to me...
