Has anyone put one of these on there VX? I am not sure about drilling holes in my hood.
Would look cool I bet.

Don’t do it, it will look like you put a WRX scoop on your VX. There are a lot of good examples of scoops that look like it belongs on a VX and the WRX scoop is not one of them. The best I’ve seen like Ldubs and the t bird transplant look like they could of came that way from the factory. I’ve thought about doing BMW M3 heat dissipation vents on mine. But I could be completely wrong.
I do agree that the WRX hood wouldn't be a good choice.
but the T bird isn't either.
The New M3 would be killer
IMO the best looking scoop has been the T-bird install.
We have extremely curvy vehicles straight lines, boxy and harsh edges just won't look right.
Also cowl induction seems to look better for the most part on our vehicles (T-Bird install is the first RAM style that I've liked)
Nice pic that’s the one I was talking about. The T bird scoop insert would look a lot better with a flat black stealth finish. The M3 heat dissipation scoop with vents Is sick as Bart would say. Good luck finding a donor M3.
Well ok then, I guess I was completely wrong.
I was thinking along the lines of spyders idea with an outback or forester hood as the donor. The scoop's not too tall and it's a pretty flat hood.

I was thinking of doing the hood insert into a cowl induction style, but motorized. At the flip of a switch it would raise in the back. It would really be for looks but what the heck it could be cool
Vcrossfan,
I think your scoop looks great. can you give me some info on how you did it.
So that is a WRX scoop?

Thx Rocket...I wish I could say I did it but I just bought it and a few other members did. A company called Carbon Fiber One (CF1) Made carbon inserts for the VX, some with the Scoop formed in (1 piece insert) and they also made a flat OEM style out of carbon fiber. They stopped making them due to lack of interest (not enough VX's) and I thnk the company has since folded. Last Oct I bought domain carbonfiber1.com For a possible future venture
That is actually a knock-off WRX STi scoop. The WRX scoop is much smaller (like the ones CFOne did for us).
Side by side comparison of the 2 scoops (STi on left, WRX on right):
I would stick with the WRX unless you REALLY wanted it to be more functional, although, it really is pretty tall.

Holly s.... this is what i want on my baby's hood,my mech's charging $ 300 to make fully funtional
Dakar was just the begining.
Hey guys what about the toyota 4-runner scoop ?
To me it looks perfect, but i also love the one over the red subaru which is very close to what Vcrossfan installed on his VX.
