I’ll be there! I had my VX inspected yesterday, I’m getting a not ready code on my computer? I removed my battery and cleaned it before the inspection. I need to drive around a little to clear the code. Then I’ll head back and get my sticker. My sister’s boyfriend is proposing to my sis at a barbeque at noon. So I won’t be able to head up the trail with you. My future brother in law owes me one!

I had a really good time at breakfast yesterday, sorry I couldn’t do the trails with you. Did the H3 keep up with you OK?

It was a lot of fun... and nice meeting you... Too bad they didn't have a larger booth

Trail was pretty good... Definitely good learning for me No issues and only a couple times where I needed a spot... (amateur).

H3 did just fine... Once Justin (my brother) put it in 4 Lo, he was doing the trail in 4 high for a while and actually making it up a few challenging obstacles.

Todd Showed us how beneficial his front ARB is by going up a tough part of the Rock garden to mineral basin. Then Justin (zeus) did it with his open diffs. Took a few tries and some strategic rock stacking but he made it... And that was the "toughest" part of the rock garden. Neither me or my brother (H3) tried the Obstacle though.

    Hindsight, probably should have.

Might join the U4WDA on August 2nd and go for mineral basin. Not totally decided.

All in all, good ride, not too scary and a good pay off (forest lake). Got alot of stares, inquiries (what is that?) and a few compliments.

    Thanks again Todd!

Looks like you guys had fun. Gorgeous country over there. What type of shotty did you pick up, Justin?

Nice...looks nice and green! We have lots of rocky riverbeds like that here minus all the greenery!

Don't you think thats a little overkill to control the "skeeters". I just use a can of bug spray....I'm old school like that!

Nice. I'm proud of you for not buying a leaf patterned camo shotty. It will be interesting to compare it to my Mossberg 500 Persuader. But that said, there is no comparison to the Saiga 12.

    Elko will be fun.

If you don't mind me asking + a bit of a thread jack , what's an 870 going for these days? I'm still a big fan of the all stainless "Marine Defender" or whatever it's called.
Back in the day, I used to keep my "bedside companion" loaded with 00 buck & sabot slugs every other round to cover all the bases.
Mighty happy to be back in Fargo.
