(re)found the very cool mention of a Vehicross in The Wooden Sea: A Novel by Johnathan Carroll ("I thought if you owned a car like this you could rule the world: You would be so cool you could eat lions for breakfast."), but also discovered a rather interesting (and historical?) tidbit within the book Partnershift: How to Profit from the Partnership Trend by Ed Rigsbee. He quotes an article describing the first online purchase/lease of a vehicle which happened to be for a 1999 Vehicross that was leased by Kyle Boschen of Denver. Less exciting (or accurate) was found within 4-Wheel Freedom: The Art of Off-Road Driving by Brad DeLong where he mentions Honda (sic) offering the unusual Vehicross.
