yes
no
so you pull the fuze and the light goes away....what fuze is it.
Just wanna share a light
Dave from shelton in CT told me he had his ABS pump swapped with a 2001 trooper equiped with the TOD system.
It's an direct fit;only cost him $ 130 from salvage yard.
Dakar was just the begining.
hello this is david from shelton ct i have had this pump in for 3 days now and i have tried to abuse it and there has been no problems at all .
On smooth wet pavement ABS might help but on a bumpy road I bet I could stop at least 50 car lengths shorter now that my abs has gone out. I LOVE my truck twice as much since the light came on! With all the snow now and my new Coopers I just slam on the brakes and slide to quick silent graceful stop every time. No more clattering and shuttering and grinding vibration. So peaceful and reassuring to just have the truck freaking stop when you press down on the pedal. I've almost had a crash at least three times when I slammed on the brakes on bad pavement (always seems to occur where everyone slams on their brakes) and the ABS decided that it was better to keep the wheels spinning than let them lock up. And around here there's more bad pavement than good. I LOVE having no ABS!!!
I finally did get sick of looking at that ABS light though and so I bent the pin like it shows in this thread http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=12016 and it's still on. Then I pulled the fuse and it's still on! Then I replaced the fuse and unhooked the battery for a minute and it's still on!!! What am I missing??? How do I shut off the dash light!

Canadian VXer!
i just took all that crap off i hate ABS when offroad some time you need to be able to jack the brakes and slide a little
I wish I could just figure out how to turn off my ABS light. It's getting old.
Ooops my bad, I see where you tried that and it didnt work.....
When we went wheeling at Uhwarrie all the Zu owners pull the fuse so the ABS is cut-out during the tough trail negotiations...

I did the pin bendy thang & the fuse pully thang. Still had the light so I just pulled the dash cluster & removed the bulb. It's about a 20 minute job with just a phillips screwdriver.

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
The fuze is labeled on the fuze box cover under the hood. There will be 2 ABS locations (1 fuze & 1 fuzable link). You'll be able to figger it out when you check.
I can not.
JK, I've been thinking about pulling the TOD check lite anyway. I'll try to take pix of the process this weekend.
No but since I changed my rotors it has been on.........
So my issue is a bit different. My ABS Light is on all the time EXCEPT when temperatures are about 10 degrees or below. When the light goes out, the ABS works. After the car warms up or the temperatures warm up, the light comes on and the ABS stops working.
What would that be an indication of?
Thanks
