Cuts Required for Tone's Hitch

Quick question: I'm thinking of ordering Tone's hitch, which I know requires you to cut a portion out of the back cladding. My question is this: If I someday plan to buy one of the nice rear skid plates ( http://wildtoys.com/vehicross/VX_Mod...dPlate_600.jpg )does it REPLACE the stock body piece, or does it just fit over it?

Idea is to not cut both pieces if one replaces the other... Thx!

Original cladding stays..."skidplate" attaches over it.
