Thread: What is my "Vehicross" worth?

  1. #16
I have pretty much decided that if I cannot get 15k..the Vx will remain in my garage. Due too this Suv's rarity, it is a matter of time before collector's discover this gem. Furthermore, I am positive, that very few Vx's are in showroom condition, with only 34k on the clock.

First gem( stock), Honda CRx's and Vw Gti's, are now collectables...they are selling for as much as 10k at auction. Soooooooo, my baby is waiting to be discovered!!

I'm certain you know your stuff, but I would have never believed that the CRX would be collectible. Perhaps the GTI b/c at least it did something in starting the hot hatch craze. I've seen CRX's at autocross events, but I'd laugh at one if I ever saw it in a car show. Nothing against it, but it didn't really do anything in my eyes. Was an ok seller and fun to drive, but you could say the same about the MR2 and I think that has a much higher chance of being a collectible. just my thoughts..

Question what is everyones definition of collectible

Of course any one can collect anything from salt shakers to beannie babies to match books. I say at least for cars collectible is when the vehicle sells for more used than new.

unfortunately for us, I feel given that definition that our VX will not be considered a collectible for many many years....

    WOW...LOW MILES...

But is it 21,000 total...or 21,000 on the new engine?
And why a new engine after 21,000 miles.

Yep. The owner is playing a mindgame with that one. I would have LOT of questions to ask first, but it looks like a pretty good buy at first glance.

Back to my earlier post, the guy that offered me $20k "claims" that when he looked at the VX years ago he was looking at a Proton on a dealer's showroom floor and the sticker said "$38k". Not sure where he was buying from but that was either highway robbery or he was mistaken (or lying). I figured that is why he offered me so much since he thought it was pricey in the first place. Oh, if he only know that I paid $21k (6%) for my first Dragon Green and then $24 (0%) for my Ebony, hahahaha.

The religious R.P. changes seem kind of a waste...unless it's since the engine is new, not the car. Maybe his religion calls for swaps every 21,000 miles.

    I think it's "Bushanomics".

    The square root of (24,000-21,000) x (x) /(135 x0500) = (x trillion /y)=71,513,706.9380

24,000 being the second stated mileage
21,000 being the first stated mileage
x being 3 the cost of the war in iraq
y being 4195 the number of US troops killed in iraq
135 represents the number of VX's that he says were produced that year
0500 represents the last four of the vin of this VX which says this VX was number 500 produced that year
the sum (true mileage on the engine) just happens to be the same amount that each life has cost in the war. Who said Bush thinks life is cheap?

We sit together, my VX and I, until only the VX remains.

    Folks,

Today, I took my baby out for a forty miles drive.
My back feels perfectly normal. Thus, my Vehicross will remain in my garage, until I kick the bucket. Hopefully,
I will be able to take her out next weekend, with the cooperation of my LUMBAR SPINE.
