    A/C Blower Fan Resistor

    Hi,
    I have a 97 vehicross (import) which I am in the process of replacing the blower fan resistor. I can not find a replacement part for a 97 resistor. Can anyone tell me if I can replace it with a part from a later model Vehicross, and if so how do I go about connecting the resistor given that the part and conector plugs dont exactly match?

    thanks

    I'm going to take a stab in the dark here...
    I've found out from calling directly to Isuzu America that all these vehicles have the same "guts" basically... all of these have the same engine for sure and will ALL interchange with the VX, you might want to see if you can find the AC resistor for these and see if they will work with your JDM(?)

    * 1999-2001 3.5L ISUZU VehiCROSS V6 6VE1 DOHC 24V
    * ISUZU TROOPER 00 (3.5L, 6 cyl, VIN "X" 8th digit)
    * ISUZU TROOPER 01 (3.5L, 6 cyl, VIN "X" 8th digit), thru 5/01

    Hope this helps...
    We sit together, my VX and I, until only the VX remains.

    Hey thanks for that,
    I actually bought a resistor from Merlin Isuzu which I was told was from a 1999/2000 VX. The problem I have is that when I took the resistor out of my 1997 it was a completely different mechanism. My JDM 1997 model appears to have a climate control system where as the replacement part I got from Merlin just controls the fan speed. I'm thinking I need to get a replacement resistor from a VX model with climate control? Can anyone shed anymore light on this?.....The good news is the part from merlin only cost 20 bucks!!!
