    4 WD on the fly!

    Perhaps I should just check the owners manual but I thought I'd post the question here for others to learn..if they have the same concern I do.......
    Can you shift into and out of 4WD on the fly(while still moving)? I think J%#p used to brag about that feature.

    Technically you are always in w4d mode, hence the Torque on Demand in which distributes energy to the front or real wheels depending on needs.

    As far as 4wd hi to 4wd low, no. You must stop to change from one to the other.

    Did you ever get my note asking about the passenger seatrail extension being used on the drivers side...or used in reverse to push the sts back further?

    I'm sorry, with the mess that this year has been, I can't say I did or remember. That would be a question better for the group. I don't know how that could be used. I'm 6'03" and find it just right. How much further you need them to go back?

    Yeah I am 6'4" 220, and all legs (lol), and it goes plenty far back for me, but I do recline the seat far enough so I can see out of the back window for lane changes

    Hi don't forget those with a JDM can shift On The Fly from 2wd to TOD any speed up to 50 mph - but only those with a 2wd JDM
