Well I did say very slightly, not much at all. The 1/2" may be so small it doesn't matter. There has to be some difference.

I'm thinking of picking up some NTG's @ 255/60/18. Good price and good looking tire. Also heard from many it has long life.

Compared to the OEM 245/60/18s on your 2001, your new tires will yield a negligible 1.59% reduction in reported speed and distance traveled. You'll be going ever so slightly faster and farther than your speedo and odo tell you.

Probably within industry standards.
