From the Vx.info Knowledge Base:
The 1999 VehiCROSS has 245/70R16 Bridgestone Duelers mounted on 16", 5 spoke aluminum alloy wheels.
2000, 2001 VehiCROSS use 245/60R18 Bridgestone Duelers mounted on 18", 18x7JJ, 5 spoke chromed, aluminum alloy wheels.
Offset = 38.0mm (1.50in)
Stud pattern = 139.7mm (5.50in)

16" or 18" x 7"
Offset = 38
Stud/Bolt pattern: 6 x 5.5"
You need to KNOW these numbers when you select other rims.
In general, any larger rim will require some cladding trimming, the amount of trimming is determined by the size of the rim AND the TIRE SIZE you select. Review the chart below, you'll get a better visual of the issue.

MY recent experience fitting new rims & tires when I went with 18x8" rims, +2 OFFSET. Rim is 1" wider than stock, so it causes rubber to rub much more significantly. (thread has all details)

The place you're buying from should have experience and can tell you about sizing, once you tell them what OEM was - - BUT DON'T RELY ON THEM, THEY'RE OFTEN WRONG OR DON'T GIVE A FLIP.
