    VX Engine re-build Update

I posted about a month ago that my 99 Ironman seized up and bit the big one; well just $3000 later she has returned to the living and I must say there is still nothing like driving a VX!!

The guys who re-manufactured the enging said that it was the crank (problem was similar to what was happening in the 3.2L Isuzu previously used that were recalled) and that it ripped up the interior and penetrated the block. After finding a decent block the rest went well and she runs like brand new.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I just got the best gift ever; my baby is back!

Glad to hear that VXers are renewing the power trains in their VXes instead of abandoning and/or parting them out. My old '82 Mustang is on it's third engine, second tranny and rear diff. I love that car and would never put it out to pasture. Same with my VX. She will get new power as long as it is available (and legal.) Good job!!
