This goes back to my original statement that most people, in general, have bad taste. I would say no taste, but I'm not sure if that is possible. I think it goes from good, to bland, to bad. Someone who thinks the VX is related to an Aztek has no right to even comment. I don't care if they spend the time to really look at both, THEN make the comment if they truely feel that way... but obviously comments like this just come from the dumb folk with bad taste that have nothing better to say in general.

Some people just can't tell the difference between their rear ends and a hole in the ground. Bad taste and the "courage" to open their mouths... like they're totally oblivious to their ignorance that they actually think they are in the know and should command an willing audience no matter what.

I've let comments such as "Is that an Aztec?" or "nice Rav 4" or
"Is that a Santa Fe?" as well as "Cute...kind of like drivin a big tennis shoe!" go in one ear and out the other. They never seem to mean any malice or maliciousness....just mostly ignorant in telling one brand from another. I've been at the gas station filling up and had the sexxy young female attendant shout over the PA system..."go ahead pump # with the nice white JEEP thingie!" Now how does one take offense to that! I had some little kid taking pictures of my Fiero 'cause he thought it was neat and called it a Ferrari....I didn't correct him...why ruin it for him!

I get the "It must be a 2003-4" thing alot too....just shows that the styling was ahead of it's time. I put a fake boat prop in my receiver hitch one time and it blew this guys mind...he thought my VX was amphibious...I just told him that is why it is a VehiCross...
cross between a boat and a SUV...he just stood there drop jawed in awe....

hi, guys. funny this thread should come up - just overheard my first negative comment on my vx, this past friday. stuck in good ol' chicago style traffic on the cell w/ my wife, when a pair of mullet hair wearing dudes in a beat up cavalier pull up next to me - "oh my god - what a piece of s***!" "look at the ugly 'eye...zoo...zoo" (as pronounced by the moron, the pauses included, probably illiterate cause he kept asking his buddy if that was the way to say it) "who'd buy that crap?" these guys wanted to get a rise out me - but, level headedness prevailed, up went my window and i laughed. as i drove off, looked at the rearview mirror and saw my new admirer flicking me off. as said by others - the double takes, compliments and otherwise positive moments w/ the vx simply outweigh the negative.
