abs grinding issues

My abs light is on and I noticed the abs regulater had been removed.When I put the regullator back in to drive the car the brakes (or something) was making an aweful grinding noise.Anyone ever have a similar problem?

I don't know you would have any braking system without the regulator in place, working or not...you don't mean the relay or the fuse do you?

The first place I'd check for a grinding noise would be brake pads, though if they were overly worn, they should have been grinding before you put the "regulator" back in...
