Warranty Extension on '01 One-owner VX?

So I'm looking SERIOUSLY at buying an '01 Proton VX w/58K miles from the original owner; one more look-see next week and I'll peel the cash! Apologies if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find a "confident" answer to this question: What EXACTLY is my warranty coverage (if any) when buying a 2001 VX from the original owner?

Yes, I purchased from original owner after he had it for 5 years. Isuzu would not honor 10 year warranty for me being another owner and not family.
Warranty does not apply to any owner other than family of the original owner for 10 years.
