Actually an intercooler after the turbo increases lag time. Bigger the IC, the more time it takes to pressurize the intake.

I would suggest a modest water/methanol injection system (squirts into the intake to counter some of the turbo pressure heat) instead of an IC and keep the turbo at or below the (proven) supercharger boost levels.

It is real easy to kill a motor or tranny with a large turbo.

Are ARP engine stud kits, heavy duty head gaskets, etc. bigger intakes available?
