You buy em' & test em'...IF they show NO rust at the end of the summer, I'd think about getting a set.

I took my lugs off the other day to look at the cone to see what I could use and they look like they will fit. Just pop off a lug nut and compare.

Anyone figure out a actual part number to either the spikes or bullets that might fit? I saw 'em on eBay and noticed they didn't have any for Isuzu. Anyone know what size would fit under the 50 or so listings they have for other vehicles listed?

Not sold on either spikes or bullets, but they had me interested, just not sure where to start on application for the Vehicross for either type.

In theory, anything with a conical seat, that's 12mm x 1.5 should work...

Hmmm; neat idea, but they would look kinda' funky using the factory "locking" lug nut (5 + 1-Lock Lug) on each wheel. If all six(6) lug nuts were changed, then they would have a more uniform appearance. Reminds me of the gladiator spiked wheels on the chariots in the movie "Ben Hur".

Still not sure if I want to take the plunge or not-still not sold on the idea fully. Just tossing it around, but that certainly steers me in the right direction. If I do it I plan on doing every lug on the rim. It would go with the overall theme on my VX-I have a wraparound grille, nerfs, and alot of other beefy parts. I would like to get different rims eventually (black and brushed moto-metal) but these might look good with those as well.

You should probably wait till you have the new rims then. Like Ldub said, lug nuts are fairly standard with only a few variations available ... but ... some aftermarket rims may require ones different from the ones that work with the OEM rims.

Good call. Didnt think that through. Probably saved me re-purchasing lug nuts.

    I modded my nuts

Well, I went ahead and picked up a set of the 12mm lug nuts and then a pack of the locking nuts from Corvetteguys. They are subtle and not so cartoony like I was worried they were going to be.

Anyway, I know they arent for everyone, but they fit the look I am going for.
